United States Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has fixed Thursday, June 29, 2017, to address the various fraudulent activities surrounding the ongoing Diversity Visa Program.
A statement issued by the Embassy on Tuesday said a press conference to address the issues would hold by 10am at the US Embassy Addis Ababa, Entoto Road.
“As part of the ongoing Diversity Visa Program the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa is pleased to brief journalists on fraudulent activities commonly associated with the Diversity Visa (DV) program.
“The annual DV program makes visas available to persons meeting simple, but strict, eligibility requirements.
“Applicants who do not meet the qualification requirements will not be considered for a DV,” a part of the statement read.
“A US Embassy consular officer will be available to give an overview of the process and discuss common mistakes and fraudulent activities,” it concluded.
