Jaiz Bank Seeks EFCC Backing

The cooperation of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been sought by the management of Jaiz Bank Plc.

The financial institution explained that it requested for the agency’s backing because the war against corruption requires a collective effort.

According to the Managing Director of the bank, Mr Hassan Usman, the support of the EFCC is needed in the area of fighting economic and financial crimes.

Mr Usman, who led a team of top management staff to the Abuja headquarters of EFCC on Thursday, February 23, 2017, said “we are asking for more support in fighting corruption in Nigeria.”

The Jaiz Bank boss, who commended the anti-graft agency, listed amongst the bank services to include specialized banking, mortgage and priority services to customers.

According to him, the bank’s customer base has increased appreciatively since he took office in June 2016.

In his remarks, Acting Chairman of EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Magu, who led other executive staff of the agency in receiving their guests, disclosed that, “We are ready to support the bank in any way you want us to, we are fully ready to support you at all times, if there is anything we can do please let us know.”
