David Thomas Leaves NAHCO

Mr David Thomas has resigned from his appointment as a Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO).

The resignation Mr Thomas was announced by NAHCO in a statement made available to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday.

It was disclosed that Mr Thomas, who quits the company, is a Director representing Lufthansa at the firm’s board.

No reason was given for Mr Thomas’ resignation in the statement signed by Mrs Olaitan Ashipa, NAHCO’s Acting Company Secretary.

According to NAHCO’s website, Mr Thomas joined the company’s Board as a Non-Executive Director representing Lufthansa German Airline, following the retirement of Mr Wolfgang Wallmeroth.

He was born on August 15, 1957 at Wilkie Saskatchewan, Canada and obtained a Diploma in Technology, Hotel Management & Food Services in 1979.

Mr Thomas also has qualifications in Wage & Salary Negotiation, Labour Relations as well as SAIT- Journeymanship papers and Red Seal Cook-1989.

He has held several managerial positions and served on the boards of many companies and was appointed Director of Operations, West Africa for Lufthansa in April, 2012.

Before his recent appointment on December 6, 2012, Mr Thomas was the Chairperson of LAXTEC Corporation; he also served on KAAMCO, where he rose to become President and held that position until 2012.

Nigeria Loses N264.4bn as Famfa Oil, Others Flare 170.5BSCF Gas

Oil Falls on Worries About Voluntary Supply Cuts
