The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) has promised to work in close collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire to promote and attract Nigerian investors and companies to participate in the third Abidjan international Fair (FIA) scheduled to hold in March next year.
The theme of the fair is ‘Entrepreneurship a solution to unemployment and fight against poverty’.
Executive Secretary of the Commission, Ms Yewande Sadiku who recently received a delegation from Cote D’Ivoire led by Ms Alla Emma Sombo from the Ministry of Commerce, made this pledge.
She expressed her gratitude for the visit and promised to always look at ways to work together with the West African neighbour in trade promotions.
Earlier, Ms Sombo solicited the Commission’s support in the mobilization of Nigerian businessmen and companies to attend the Abidjan fair in large numbers, stressing that Nigeria as the largest economy in ECOWAS, stands to benefit from the fair as its investment potentials will be showcased to world.
She also disclosed that Nigeria has been nominated as the Guest of Honour at the Fair.
