The second Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for 2022 will take place on Thursday, August 18 at 9:45 am.
This was announced by the SEC in a circular issued on Monday, July 18, 2022.
The event, according to the agency, will be hybrid as some members of the panel will be physically present at the meeting, while others will join virtually.
The meeting will take place for two days, with the second day, Friday, August 19, for addressing members of the media on the outcome of deliberations at the gathering.
In the statement posted on its website today, the apex regulatory agency in the Nigerian capital market emphasised that attendance for the meeting is strictly by invitation.
“The 2022 second Capital Market Committee (CMC) webinar meeting has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 18, 2022. The usual interface with members of the press will also hold through the webinar on Friday, August 19, 2022.
“Attendance at both events is strictly by invitation,” the notice stated.
The CMC meeting is an avenue for stakeholders in the capital market to discuss happenings around the ecosystem and suggest ways to make things better for operators, regulators as well as investors through policies.
