The Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Mr Adesola Adeduntan, has been appointed to the board of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSETF).
The joining of the fund’s board by Mr Adeduntan followed his appointment by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The Governor selected the Ibadan, Oyo State-born reputable banker as one of the members of the LSSTF board.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary of the Governor, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the First Bank chief was chosen for the position because of his sterling and impressive track record.
His selection along with others was because of the vacancies left behind in the organisation by the former occupiers, noting that the appointment was with immediate effect.
Mr Sanwo-Olu, according the CPS, announced Mr Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti as Chairman of the board, while Mr Abdul Razaq Balogun is the Executive Secretary.
Members of the board, apart from Mr Adeduntan include Mr Ebenezer Oneyeagwu, Mr Emeka Onwuka, Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, Engr. Bamgbose-Martins, Mr Agboola Oshodi-Glover (rtd DIG), Mr Yemi Idowu, Mr Niyi Adewunmi, and Dr Ayo Ogunsan.
Meanwhile, Governor Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mrs Bola Adesola as Chairman of the board of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), with Mrs Abisoye Tejumola as Executive Secretary.
Appointed as members were Mr Sinari Bolade Daranijo, Mrs Tatiana Mousalli-Nouri, Mr Segun Ojelade, Ms Kofo Durosinmi-Etti, Mr Idris Olorunimbe, and Mr Ronald Chagoury Jnr.
In the statement, Mr Akosile said the Governor thanked the previous members of the two boards for their meritorious and conscientious service to the state.
He also congratulated and thanked the new members for accepting to serve the state and help improve on the achievements of their predecessors.
Mr Sanwo-Olu noted that the new members were carefully chosen based on records of excellence in their chosen fields.
