Mrs Simisola Ojumu has been appointed as the Executive Director for Technical at the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Plc.

At NIRSAL, Mrs Ojumu will oversee technical functions and relationships spanning agribusinesses and agricultural value chains on the one hand, and banks and other financial institutions on the other, bringing her experience in investment banking, transaction structuring, and capital mobilisation to bear on the organisation’s efforts to sustainably expand the flow of commercial finance into Nigeria’s agriculture sector.

Mrs Ojumu is a seasoned investment banker and corporate finance professional with two decades of experience in capital raising, transaction structuring, investment origination, and the execution of complex financial transactions across the banking, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.

Over the course of her career, she has built and managed investment pipelines, mobilised capital, developed institutional relationships, and negotiated transactions involving diverse counterparties and financing structures.

This depth of experience brings valuable commercial and investment expertise to NIRSAL as the Company continues to strengthen its capacity to facilitate private capital into the agriculture sector at scale.

She is an Authorised Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, United Kingdom.

Her appointment further strengthens NIRSAL’s executive leadership under Mr Sa’ad Hamidu, as the Company continues to strengthen its value proposition, sustain its recent growth trajectory, and consolidate its position as Africa’s pioneer agricultural credit risk-sharing institution.
