An African rap star, Kennedy Ombima, otherwise known as King Kaka, has expressed his admiration and respect for a leading bookmaker, Sportsbet.io, describing the platform as “true innovators.”

In an interview with Telecom Asia Sport, the music act said he was impressed when he learned about the innovative values behind the foremost Bitcoin-led sportsbook.

“I am an innovation kinda guy. We can’t reinvent the wheel, but the wheel can be redirected in certain directions toward easy life…When I heard the values behind Sportsbet.io I thought for real? You can do that now?” the showbiz personality said.

Sportsbet.io is the principal sponsor of the English Premier League team, Southampton FC, and has secured a 3-year official betting partnership with Arsenal FC, which incidentally is the team King Kaka’s wife supports, while he follows Manchester United.

The crypto gaming platform offers a cryptocurrency guide through Crypto Education with Southampton on YouTube, where it educates viewers more about crypto in a fun and entertaining way.

This may have been a reason why the Kenyan rapper is fond of the gaming site, agreeing to be their brand ambassador to use his influence to engage his fans, especially from Africa, on the importance of digital currencies.

“There have been so many conversations in Eastern and Central Africa about crypto and no one gave a direction. You heard about crypto? Like it’s a rumour…We doubt everything in Africa. What? Crypto? Who? I don’t know nobody using crypto,” he said.

King Kaka runs a football league called “The Ligi Soo Football League.” He uses this platform to empower African children and fight against gender violence.

While speaking about his music career, he said his first EP titled Happy Hour launched in December 2021 was just after months of illness.

He explained that the decision to release the music came as a result of the last two years, which have been very difficult because of the pandemic.

“I don’t want to lose who people fell in love with. I am keeping it King Kaka, I am not here for the wave. If I adopt literally everything that is happening, then I lose who I am. People love me for who I am,” King Kaka, who is definitely not even close to gambling with his music and his audience, stated.
