Managing Partner of Startup Istanbul, Ms Elif Coşkunkan, has announced the selection of Nigeria’s digital publishing startup, Publiseer, for this year’s Startup Istanbul Challenge 2018 taking place in Tukey from October 19-22.
Startup Istanbul is the leading startup event that brings together founders, investors and executives in the region.
It’s a gathering of the leading startups, internet companies, business angels and venture capitalists from Europe, Africa and Asia. Startup Istanbul is organized by Etohum, the leading startup accelerator and seed investor in Turkey.
The past winner of Startup Istanbul, Tespack, closed a €2 million invested led by the jury.
As one of the competitors of the challenge, Publiseer will get three tickets for its co-founders and team members, three tickets for the boat tour in Bosphorous, a demo table in the exhibit hall on October 22, three webinars before the event, one-to-one pitching training, Istanbul Technical University Technopark tour, workshop on how to establish a company in Turkey, quickfire pitch on stage on October 22, digital branding with startany.com and startupistanbul.com, visibility to Startup Istanbul’s network of 200+ investors, social media mentions to Startup Istanbul’s 550K followers and a mention in the newsletter to Startup Istanbul’s 150K readers.
A statement issued by Publiseer disclosed that this development comes days after the Lagos State government through its Lagos Innovates programme, rewarded the start-up firm with N120,000 voucher to be redeemed by Publiseer at one of the partner hubs of the program, which includes Venia Hub, Leadspace Shared Facilities Limited, ReDahlia Workspaces, Capital Square Workspace Solutions Ltd., Workstation, and Cranium One.
