The convention takes place bi-annually and brings together the world’s leading technology and services in the mining and metals sector. South Africa’s participation focussed on machinery, equipment, technologies, services and supplies for the mining sector.
The participation of the South African companies in the exhibition was made possible by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) through its Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) scheme with the aim of increasing exports to Peru.
