Pastor Sam Adeyemi, you are one of the most inspiring achievers around. Your values, messages, lifestyle and wisdom have changed the lives of many.
One of your mentors is Bishop Oyedepo and you often came to Covenant University, with your wife from around – 2003. You had also visited RCCG at their massive headquarters and ministered on occasions. You have been to several ministries and programs around the world.
You didn’t newly join the ministry; you have been there for two decades. You kept learning, growing, getting better and raising role models.
But, of recent, your messages and comments have been used by the enemies of the church to prove a point against the church of God.
There is no point for rebuttals of your messages the enemies of the church agreed with, but it is a scary place to be, if fierce enemies of the church hates all, and finds you – cool.
Led by Daddy Freeze, the ring of insults, hate, lies and scorn against the church are things to dissociate from. They want churches gone, and the day you say something they don’t agree with, they will immediately say you have joined them or that you were better before.
Daystar is great but it is also a church of God and it is greater than you. Some of the haters have said they will start attending Daystar and if that is what the church will attract because of a few of your messages it is not great at all.
There is nothing churches of God did to that individual or his supporters that warrants this hate and abuse. Falling into the hands of hypocrites or rogue pastors, or being unable to bear the fruit of the Spirit, or loving lust, pride, or whatever, does not invalidate faith in God, or His presence.
True churches are voluntary and optional. They have no responsibility to develop Nigeria or be held responsible for the pathetic underdevelopment of the country. The kind of hate and abuse of Daddy Freeze has against RCCG, Winners and their presiding leaders should irritate you to have him use any of your messages for his crumpled campaign.
Please, Pastor Sam, I am not trying to lecture you, or correct you, or anything, but what had happened in recent months with what looked like your support or their support for you – is grim.
You don’t have to defend RCCG or Winners. They are stronger than their enemies and all their adversaries remain foolish, but your messages should never agree with those that want to crush the church.
The Author and Finisher of the Christian faith is Christ Jesus. Apostles like you are leaders – commissioned. A word is enough for the wise!
