NASD Plc Fixes May 31 for 8th AGM in Lagos

On Monday, May 31, 2021, shareholders of NASD Plc will gather in Lagos for the company’s 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

This development was announced by the organisation in a notice filed to the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange, where it trades its stocks as a demutualised entity.

The disclosure from the firm explained that the meeting has been scheduled to take place at its headquarters, located on the 9th Floor of the UBA House on 57, Marina, Lagos by 11 a.m.

The board of the company will the occasion to update the shareholders of efforts being taken to improve the business operations of the organisation.

They will also get details of how the company performed last year and what to look out for in the 2021 fiscal year.

For the 2020 financial year, NASD Plc did not propose the payment of dividend to shareholders and at the meeting, an explanation as to why this was so would likely be given by the board.

Last year, many organisations across the world struggled as a result of the devastating effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused countries to shut down their economies.

NASD Plc regards itself as the hub of the first call for capital formation in West Africa. It provides platforms for primary and secondary market liquidity.

In the primary market, NASD Plc focuses on easing the capital raise process; and provide secondary liquidity and transparency for investors who wish to play in its secondary market.

Business Post reports that at the close of business on Friday, the share price of NASD Plc on the NASD Exchange closed flat at N3.50 per share.
