The 22nd chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ibadan and District Society, Mr Ayuba Quadri, has been re-elected to the Statutory Audit Committee of University Press Plc.
The respected chartered accountant was asked to remain on the team to represent shareholders of the company alongside others.
His re-election was at the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of University Press held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State.
At the yearly gathering organised by University Press to update investors on the performance of the organisation, Mrs Utereinibong Obot and Mr Folowosele Micheal Oludare were elected as shareholder members of the Statutory Audit Committee of the firm.
In a notice to inform the investing public on the outcome of the meeting, University Press also stated that Mrs Josephine Diete-Spiff and Mr Olayinka Lawal would represent the board on the committee.
Business Post gathered that during the AGM, shareholders approved the 2.5 Kobo per share dividend proposed by the board of University Press for the financial year ended March 31, 2024.
The directors were then authorised “to fix the remuneration of the auditors in line with the provisions of Section 408 of the Companies & Allied Matters Act 2020,” according to the notice signed by the secretary to the board, Mrs Binitie Aboyade-Cole.
