The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), is marshalling resources to offer assistance to business owners who were affected by the mayhem that engulfed the state last week after the shooting of harmless protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate by the military.

During the two-day attacks by hoodlums, several properties owned by the government and private individuals were destroyed and burnt and this left the metropolis in ruins.

On Friday, the Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, inspected scenes of the places attacked by the thugs and thereafter, he announced that his administration will make efforts to assist victims and business owners affected.

In line with this, the Lagos State government launched a fund to help business owners, who were victims of lootings and vandalisation during the state-wide curfew, to get back on their feet.

The agency over the weekend pledged to support Lagos-based business owners affected by the destruction and/or looting of their businesses.

The LSETF was established to create jobs and tackle unemployment by providing skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities.

How to Access the LSETF Fund

This is only eligible for only Lagos-based business owner whose store got looted or vandalized last week.

Applicants would be expected to provide their details, including the names, name of the business, the CAC registration number, physical and email addresses, picture of the damage, location of the business, the estimated amount of loss, number of employees and a few others.

If you qualify, you are required to fill out the Lagos State SME Recovery form of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF). This is accessible through this link.
