A real estate investor and Managing Director of Zealand Properties, Mr Adedeji Agarawu, has handed over a landed property to the Guinness World Records holder for the longest cooking marathon for an individual, Ms Hilda Baci.
While presenting documents of the plot of land at one of its estates, Yomade Heritage, in Epe, Lagos, to her, Mr Agarawu praised the chef for her drive and hard work, saying they are worthy of emulation by other youths.
“I appreciate hard work, and what you pulled out there was tough. You must have gone the extra mile and conquered a lot of fear to have achieved your feat,” he said during the presentation at his company’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.
In her remarks, Hilda Baci thanked Zealand Properties for the gift, noting that she might purchase another plot of land in the estate.
“I’m super excited because they were so kind to gift me a plot of land in one of their prime locations in Epe and trust me, at the price that they are currently selling, I’d probably buy one for myself because it honestly feels like a steal,” the Akwa Ibom-born chef said.
Hilda Baci dislodged the former record holder, Lata Tondon of India, who set the record in 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019. The Nigerian, according to the official record, cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
