A foremost grassroots politician and environmental scientist, Mr Tunde Olaogun, recently celebrated his birthday in Lokoja, Kogi State with some elderly persons.
On January 13, 2022, the philanthropist added another year and to appreciate God’s favour in his life, he travelled to the Confluence State to be with the less privileged.
The graduate of the Lagos State University (LASU) used the occasion to mingle with the senior citizens looking for their daily bread on the streets of Lokoja.
Mr Olaogun was specifically at the Old Market in Lokoja to celebrate his day with the elderly, giving them something to eat to make them feel very important.
Commenting on the development, the microbiologist said, “This giving initiative, as you are perhaps aware is not new in my history; although it is the first in Lokoja.”
“I am, however, encouraged and of the fervent belief that it is better to give when you have but it is much more rewarding to give when you do not have.
“For me, I do not have it all. But I reckon largely with that part of the scriptures which says “Give and it shall be given unto you,” he added.
