Three contestants have made it to the final of the Wema Bank Sounds of ALAT competition and will battle for the N6 million up for grabs.

The contest commenced a few months ago and has the winner going home with N3 million, with the first and second runners-up getting N2 million and N1 million, respectively.

The initiative was designed to discover and support up-and-upcoming musicians across Nigeria and give them a platform to showcase their talent to the world.

The participants faced celebrity judges comprising Cobhams Asuquo, Omawumi, DJ Sose, and Alpha Ojini at a 4-day boot camp hosted at the bank’s Purple Academy, and they settled for Onyealisigwe Bright, Fashoro Taiye, and Kareem Tomiwa as the Top 3 contestants.

The final stage of the competition will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, and fans of the contestants and music lovers across Nigeria have been encouraged to follow Wema Bank and ALAT’s social media handles to watch the final competition live.

“We are proud of the calibre of talent we have seen in the Sounds of ALAT competition. The level of skill and creativity displayed by the contestants is a testament to the incredible musical talent that exists in Nigeria.

“Wema Bank is committed to supporting the growth and development of individuals and businesses across Nigeria, and Sounds of ALAT is just one of the many ways in which we are doing so,” the Head of Brand & Marketing Communication at Wema Bank, Mabel Adeteye, said.
