Toyota Recalls Camry, 4Runner, Sienna, Lexus RX 350, Others

Car manufacturing giant, Toyota, has recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles in the United Stated in order to fix faulty fuel pumps, the auto manufacturer said in a statement.

It was further stated that Toyota was still developing a remedy for the issue and plans to notify affected vehicle owners by mid-March, but noted that it was currently investigating this issue and will be developing a remedy.

“The subject vehicles are equipped with a fuel pump which may stop operating.  If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough.

“This can result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash,.” the statement read.

“When the remedy is available, there will be no cost to vehicle owners.  All known owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by first class mail by mid-March,” It stated.

The recall covers 2018 and 2019 that includes Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460 and RX 350 models.

Other vehicles to be recalled are 2018 and 2019 Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra models.
