GTBank Board Meets for H1 2019 Results, Declares Closed Period

The board of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc has fixed Wednesday, July 24, 2019 for its meeting to consider the audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2019.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the financial institution also said at the meeting, the board may discuss issues relating to the half year dividend.

“Pursuant to the post-listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for quoted companies, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc hereby informs you that the board of directors of our bank is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, to consider the audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2019. Issues relating to half-year dividend may also be discussed at the meeting.

“Kindly note that we are required to forward the audited accounts to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval, prior to the release of the results on the floor of the NSE.

“We shall notify you of the decisions reached after the approval of the CBN is obtained,” the disclosure released yesterday said.

Meanwhile, the lender, as part of the NSE listing rules, has announced a closed period for the trading of its shares on the local bourse by top members of the company.

“Pursuant to the post-listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for quoted companies, we hereby inform you of the scheduled announcement of the closed period for trading in the bank’s shares on July 8, 2019 in respect of the audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2019.

“Kindly note that the board meeting to consider the audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2019 has been scheduled for July 24, 2019,” the bank said in another statement on Wednesday.
