Unilever Nigeria Board Approves H1’19 Results

The board of directors of Unilever Nigeria Plc has approved the financial statements of the company for the period ended June 30, 2019.

This was done at the board meeting, which took place on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 1, Billingsway, Lagos, a statement issued by the firm disclosed.

At the meeting, it was resolved that the unaudited interim financial statements of the organisation for six months ended June 30, 2019 should be released to the perusal of the shareholders and investing public on or before end of this month.

“This is to notify the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and our esteemed shareholders that at the meeting of the Board of Directors of Unilever Nigeria Plc which held on 18 July, 2019 at 1 Billingsway, Lagos, the Unaudited Interim Financial Statements for six months ended 30 June, 2019 was considered and approved.

“The board also considered and approved the proposal on rewiring industrial assets and cost base to drive competitiveness.

“The Unaudited Interim Financial Statements for six months ended 30 June, 2019 will be filed with the exchange on or before 30 July, 2019.

“Consequently, the closed period restricting all directors and insiders from transacting in the shares of the company remain in place until 24 hours after the release of the Financial Statements to the public,” the notice said.
