Members of the public have been warned by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to be careful of fake appointment/employment letters currently in circulation.

In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Mr Bisi Kazeem, the agency said all those who took part in the 2018 recruitment exercise have been issued their appointment letters.

The statement said the letters in circulation at the moment are from fraudsters, who want to swindle unsuspecting members of the public, especially the unemployed in the society.

“The last approved FRSC recruitment exercise by Mr President in 2018 has been completed and appointment letters have been issued to all successful cadets and marshals after a successful passing out parade from their Training Camps.

“Nigerians and particularly the unemployed are advised to be wary of swindlers and mischief makers who are bent on defrauding unsuspecting members of the public and for the purpose discrediting the commission,” Mr Kazeem said.

He further said, “The format of the letter is completely different from that of the corps and should not be accepted as genuine by anyone.”

“The corps is widely known for its fairness and transparency in dealing with matters that concerns the public,” the agency’s image maker stated further.

“The Corps hereby distances itself from the letter as shown below and asks everyone to do likewise as investigation has already commenced to arrest the perpetrators of this evil activities.

Members of the public are advised to check the FRSC website (frsc.gov.ng) and other social media platforms (FRSCNigeria) for latest developments on all its activities in order not be a victim of sharp practices by fraudsters,” he concluded.
